Welcome to the scheduling process page for the 2019-2020 academic year. You will find important information that will be updated here as well as necessary documents available for download along the right column.

Prospective 9th Graders

Welcome to Lincoln High School!  Please check back for updates to this information throughout the year. Here are important dates and information regarding the class scheduling process. We look forward to welcoming you in person to Lincoln.
  • Families will be notified of their high school placement by SJUSD in mid March.
  • Lincoln will send out scheduling information for our incoming freshman in late March.
  • The following middle schools will be visited for course selection. During that time, students will be guided in completing the Course Request Form and turning in a copy.

  • Course Request Forms are due to the Lincoln main office by April 26, 2019. Students admitted to Lincoln later in the year are encouraged to turn in course request forms as early as possible. Forms may be dropped off in the Main Office or mailed to:

  • Final scheduling occurs at the end of Summer when resources are finalized. A schedule pick up date will be posted when that date is determined. Students unable to pick up their schedules in person on the pick up date will pick up their schedules on the first day of school. (In person pick up available only by student whose name is on the schedule) More information about this will be updated as the date approaches.  Click here for a calendar timeline and information on math placement.
  • Student and parent initiated schedule change requests will be accepted for up to the first three(3) days of the 2019-2020 academic year. Requests submitted after that time will not be accepted. All requests will be responded to within one week of being submitted.
  • Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

Current 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders

  • Students receive a 2019-2020 Course Request Form in their English classes during the last week in January.
  • Students will receive one-on-one review of their current transcripts, course request counseling, and assistance in entering course requests into Infinite Campus during their Social Science class according to the schedule below.

  • Final scheduling occurs at the end of Summer when resources are finalized. A schedule pick up date will be posted when that date is finalized. Courses Requiring Auditions / Applications

The following courses require an audition or application:

Art Special Projects - See Ms. Zamora (Room 52).

Leadership - See Ms. Zamora (Room 52).

Yearbook - See Mr. Christian (Room P101) to pickup an application form.

Performing Arts Auditions
  1. Theatre and Choir auditions are individual auditions.
  2. Dance placements are in groups.
  3. Auditions for the Lincoln Convertibles, Xochitl Cultural, Chamber Chorale and Vocal Jazz (VocalEase & Estetica) are group auditions in addition to the department audition.  Please consult the website for more information.  Auditions for BitCo are by invitation based on performance at the Theatre Arts audition.
  4. Auditions for Orchestra students are by appointment.  Please contact Ms. Jan || ajan@sjusd.org
  5. Recorded auditions for Band may be sent to: Mr. Gomez || mrgomez@sjusd.org (Audition packets with requirements for recording can be found on www.lincolnbandsj.org)
